🔀 Explore LP Transfers Workflow

Objective

Investor transfer is the transfer of ownership or interest in the fund from one investor to another. This process is initiated due to various reasons, such as liquidity needs, portfolio rebalancing, or estate planning.

Transfers can be conducted between 2 investors in the same fund, 2 entities of the same investor or by selling to a new investor.

Identified problems

  • Tracking transfer workflow: Most funds have to manually track this workflow through Excel spreadsheet and emails
  • Back and forth with investors: Funds have to reach out to investors to ensure transfer agreements and fulfill submissions
  • Manage stakeholders: The transfer process can involve different stakeholders, which makes it difficult to ensure alignment across the boar.d

Key Benefits

Streamlined and accelerated investor transfer process

Transferors and transferees can initiate the process independently via a shareable link provided by the fund manager. This allows the transfer process to begin as soon as the transferor is ready, eliminating the need for fund managers to be directly involved at the start.

Centralized experiences

  • Unified Investor Experience

Investors can manage all their fund-related activities in one place, from indication of interest, transferring shares, voting, and more—providing a seamless, one-stop-shop experience.

  • Simplified Fund Manager Operations

Fund managers can move away from relying on spreadsheets and disjointed systems. Anduin Fund Subscription serves as a single source of truth for managing all investor transfers, ensuring easier tracking and oversight of every transaction.

Enhanced transparency

Both transferors and transferees can monitor the transfer's progress in real-time using Anduin’s investor view. They can track how the transfer form moves through each step, including completion, signing, and submission for fund manager review.

Fund managers receive daily notifications when new transfers are initiated and can easily track every transfer’s status through the comprehensive transfer dashboard.

Effective communication

The platform facilitates direct communication between the transfer parties and fund managers, allowing in-context discussions that streamline the entire process and improve collaboration among all stakeholders.

Onboarding conversion

The Investor Transfer workflow can introduce new investors to the fund, as shares may be transferred to individuals not previously involved. This presents fund managers with valuable opportunities to cultivate new investor leads, potentially driving participation in both current and future fundraises.

How It Works

  1. PDF Submission: The fund submits a PDF containing the captured transfers.
  2. Digitization & Onboarding: Anduin digitizes the document and integrates it into the transfer workflow, allowing the fund manager to manage the process.
  3. Invite the transfer parties: Fund managers can invite transfer parties directly or provide the transferor with a shareable link to self-initiate the transfer.

✅ Explore Investor Voting Workflow

Objective

The Investor Voting Workflow simplifies fund decision-making by automating vote collection, tracking, and reporting. This reduces manual effort, ensures real-time accuracy, and minimizes errors. Fund managers can confidently manage the entire voting process, with compliance, reporting, and vote aggregation handled at scale. It's especially valuable when needing consents or voting in events like Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings, where shareholders vote on critical corporate matters.

Key Participants

In the investor voting process, fund managers and investors play key roles, each with specific responsibilities and challenges.

Fund Managers

  1. Set up and manage the voting process and communicate with investors.
    • Controlling Access to Votes: Fund managers must ensure only authorized investors can vote on resolutions, which may vary based on share type, fund role, or agreements.
    • Communication Management: Responding to investor queries promptly while keeping the process on schedule can be challenging. Funds managers want a quick way to blast communication instead of manual, time-intensive follow ups.
  2. Track real-time progress and reporting on a timely basis.
    • Recording Off-Platform Votes: Managing votes collected outside the platform creates difficulties for fund teams seeking a centralized tracking and reporting solution.
    • Data Accuracy and Reporting Efficiency: Without proper document logic rules, the risk of errors rises, leading to time-consuming corrections and delays in building rollup reports.

Investors

Responsibilities and Challenges

  1. Review proposals and cast informed votes through Anduin’s interface.
  2. Access all relevant documents and stay updated on voting matters.
    • Track their voting history in one centralized location.

    • Cumulative Voting: Allows for strategic vote allocation among board candidates, with rules in place to ensure only eligible investors participate.
    • Institutional Voting: Enables custom voting rules for large institutional investors, providing flexibility and compliance control for complex resolutions.

  • Accurate Reporting: Our document logic rules and restrictions ensure data accuracy and significantly reduce the time needed to generate rollup reports.

Centralizing offline votes to a single environment

  • Custom dashboard allows fund teams to build new columns to record and centralize all off-platform votes in a single dashboard, ensuring that Anduin remains the single source of truth.
  • Data Capture & Integration: Once voting is completed, all relevant data is captured during the process and integrated into a single, verified PDF for long-term record-keeping.

Unified, seamless voting experience for investors

  • Centralized Investor Experience

Investors benefit from having all their interactions consolidated in one platform, as they are already using Anduin for other fund-related activities.

  • Enhanced e-Forms

Our e-form solution offers a superior experience compared to traditional pen-and-paper methods. It provides a faster, more user-friendly way for investors to complete and submit documents, reducing friction and improving overall satisfaction.

How It Works

  1. PDF Submission: The fund submits a PDF containing the captured votes.
  2. Digitization & Onboarding: Anduin digitizes the document and integrates it into the voting workflow, allowing the fund manager to manage the process.

📝 Explore Wire Instruction Update Workflow

Objective

The Wire Instruction Workflow facilitates seamless communication between fund managers and their investors for new information. This eliminates the need for email communications and reduces the security risk when transferring sensitive information between the two parties. Fund managers can track wire instruction requests from multiple investors across their vehicles at scale.

Key Participants

Fund Managers

  1. Collect and ensure investors’ wire instructions are up-to-date.
    • Fragmented Requests: Fund managers usually receive wire instructions updates from their investors through email communications. This can happen at any time. Tracking email threads and ensuring all stakeholders stay informed is a time-consuming task.
    • Security Risk: Communicating important information such as wire instructions over email creates a security risk for both investors and fund managers. Bad actors can gain access to investors’ emails, impersonate investors, and send fraud wire instructions. Fund teams have to spend a significant amount of time verifying the information source and the wire instructions.
  2. Maintain data across their platforms.
    • Manual Update: Once they have confirmed the new wire instructions, fund teams manually input this information into their downstream systems such as CRM, fund accounting, etc... Errors can occur during the input process.

Investors: Provide new wire instructions to their fund managers.

  1. Inform Stakeholders: Investors need to reach out to their fund managers to provide their wire instructions whenever there is a change. There can be multiple contact points at a fund, which makes it hard to define the right person to notice.
  2. Email Communication: While a quick email is preferable by investors, it can easily be missed by the fund team. Investors do not have visibility afterward to know fund managers have received their information.

Key Benefits

Secured communication via a form

Investors can initiate a new wire instruction update to fund managers at any time using a single click from their investor portal.

  • Ease of access: Fund managers can provide investors with access to the request template on demand. Investors have the flexibility to send a timely update.
  • Secured communication: Information is safely shared via Anduin portal, which requires login credentials from both fund managers and investors, to help reduce the risk of exposure.
  • Customized logic: Anduin offers flexible validation logics to ensure information is in the correct format and reduce typos from investors.
  • Fund selection: Investors can select the fund vehicles for the new wire instruction all at once, eliminating the need to submit multiple requests for each vehicle.

Centralizing request tracking

  • Tracking dashboard: Fund managers have one single dashboard to track all update requests from their investors. Fund teams can leverage the same dashboard to collaborate on the review and confirmation process.
  • Data Capture & Integration: Fund managers can quickly identify changes by comparing new wire instructions to existing information stored in Investor Data Management. Once the wire instruction has been verified, fund managers can download data using templates or sync data from IDM to their downstream system.

Responsive and transparent process

  • Immediate notifications

Fund managers and their teams receive real-time notifications whenever investors send their wire instruction updates.  Authorized stakeholders can access this new information directly, eliminating the need for any additional forwarding steps.

  • Transparent status

Investors can easily check the status of their submissions on their dashboards, ensuring they know when fund managers have received and confirmed their wire instruction update requests.

How It Works

Workflow Overview

  1. Wire Update Form: The fund provides a form template for wire instructions updates.
  2. Digitization & Onboarding: Anduin digitizes the template and integrates it into the wire update workflow, allowing the fund manager to manage the process.
  3. Generate Shareable Link: Fund teams generate a shareable link to the form. This link can be shared with investors or placed in the investor portal for easy access. Investors can send a request at any time.
  4. Review & Tracking: Fund teams will receive a notification immediately after an investor submits the new instruction. Fund managers and admins can review new information and update the downstream system.

Use case example

Investor Experience

1. Investor(s) can access the update request form anytime using a link.
2. Investors provide new wire instructions and choose the applicable funds. Depending on the requirements from the fund, investors may have to sign the new instruction.
3. Once ready, investors can submit the new wire instructions.
4. Review status is visible to investors directly on the dashboard.

Fund Manager Experience

1. Fund managers generate and place the access link on the investor portal.
2. Everytime an investor submits a new wire instruction, fund team members will receive an email notification.
3. Fund managers can review and ask questions about the new instructions on the platform.
4. After the review is completed, fund managers can download the new instructions for updating the downstream system.
5. All wire instructions updates are centralized and trackable on one single dashboard.

Touchpoints & Communication

  • Centralized communication: Investors can self-initiate an update request and receive confirmation directly on a secured platform. Fund teams no longer need to track multiple email communications.
  • Security enhancement: Investors must verify their identity by logging in before submitting the update request. This reduces the risk of bad actors impersonating investors and creating wire fraud.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Fund teams can leverage one single dashboard to track all wire instruction updates across their funds.

⚡️ Stay informed with highlighted inactive threads

Introducing highlight inactive threads, our new enhancement within the comments feature.

With this new enhancement, important comments from investors will be highlighted if there’s no response after a set time.

Why Does It Matter?

In the day-to-day, fund admins need a quick way to identify important conversations they might missed without having to scan through all comment threads manually.

This new enhancement will help save their time, and at the same time ensure no important comments from investors slip through the cracks.

How It Works:

Threads initiated by LPs that have been inactive (without a GP reply) for a set number of days will be marked with an exclamation point and highlighted.

  • Inbox UI and Comment Panel Updates: Inactive threads are highlighted and pinned at the top, making them easier to spot.
  • Customizable Settings: GPs can enable or disable the nudging feature and customize the inactivity period before threads are flagged for follow-up.

✅ Mark subscriptions as complete at any stage

Now fund managers can mark subscription workflows as complete without requiring a fully signed document.

This improvement will allow more flexibility to reflect the true status of your subscriptions more accurately.

Key Benefits:

  • Customizable Workflow Completion: End workflows at any stage to better match your specific use cases, whether it’s IOI distribution, wire instruction collection, or AML/KYC workflows.
  • Improved Progress Tracking: Keep investors informed and track subscription progress with more precision.
  • Enhanced Communication Options: Decide whether or not to notify investors at each stage, reducing unnecessary communications.

🎯 Get targeted downloads with document type filtering

Introducing new type filtering when you’re downloading documents in bulk.

Now you can select your desired document types before downloading, ensuring a faster and more efficient process.

Why it matters

  • Previously, GPs had to download all document types in bulk, which often included irrelevant and unnecessary files.
  • Now, GPs can filter and select only the specific document types they need, making downloads faster and more efficient.

How it works

  • GPs can choose document types while exporting investor documents:
    • Subscription Documents
    • AML/KYC & Other Supporting Documents
    • Reference Documents
  • Only the selected document types will be downloaded for all chosen LPs.
